Tip | Install Plugins from Asset Manager instead of copying from another design

Advice

Often there is a tendency to copy Plugins from one design to another. This may be a quick method when you wish to copy settings from one design to another, but can also lead to problems later on in the design.

In the case of Asset Manager plugins, and sometimes 3rd Party plugins, there are additional files included in the "install base" that could affect functionality of the software. This could include samples, presets, graphics content, and other context-sensitive files.

Best practice is to always use Asset Manager, or official installers for any plugin content to be used in a design. This will prevent system instability and possible design corruption.
