FAQ | Why isn't USB-C Source being detected in QIO-VEN4?

Updated at March 3rd, 2026

Answer

If USB-C Source isn't being detected with QIO-VEN4, it may be due to the connected computer’s firmware. Firmware, such as Thunderbolt™ Security, may be blocking USB-C devices.

  1. Restart your laptop.
  2. Press Esc or F10 repeatedly during boot to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup.
  3. Navigate to Advanced → Port Options → Thunderbolt Configuration.
  4. Look for Thunderbolt Security Level.
  5. Set it to No Security or Disabled.

This ensures USB‑C devices can connect without the computer's firmware blocking them.
