Problem | Symptoms
When opening Designer v9.4 or earlier, Designer pops up and error message “Error loading plugin ‘init.lua’” and some plugins appear not to load.
Causes | Verification
The “mDNS plugin” makes use of the Lua modules feature of Designer. The Lua modules feature was introduced in Designer 9.5. Previous versions are unaware of Lua modules ands if the mDNS plugin is installed and a version of Designer older than v9.5 is opened, They will generate an error as and processing of further plugins stops resulting in some installed plugins not showing up.
Solution | Workaround
To use Designer 9.4 or earlier without error, remove any and all instances of the mDNS plugin from the machine.
