Advice

User Components allows for you to configure and utilize a component or multiple components from the Schematic Elements list.  This can be audio, control, monitor, scripting, and video components.

For example, if you find yourself using testing tools like pink noise, signal probe or signal injector for troubleshooting audio issues consistently, it would be useful to add those to your User Components.

Adding a component to the User Components List

  1. Place a component in the schematic area and configure its Properties as desired.
  2. Select and drag the component into the User Components list, or select the component and click the + (plus sign) in the User Components heading. The User Component dialog displays.
  3. In the User Component dialog, enter a name for the component. The default is "User Component 1".
  4. Press OK to add the component, or Cancel to exit without adding the component.

To use the User Component, simply select it from the User Component list and drag it into the schematic area, same as if you were adding any other schematic element.  You are able to delete a User Component from the list by selecting in the list and pressing the Delete Key or click the minus sign in the User Component heading.
