The information below covers setup and configuration of RoomSuite Modular System and Q-SYS Connect for Zoom Rooms.
Setup
- Double-click the Q-SYS Connect Installer and allow Q-SYS Connect to make changes to your device.

- Select Zoom Rooms.

- Continue to allow the install wizard to install Q-SYS Connect and configure your Zoom Rooms selection. Do not cancel the install as it will take a few minutes.
- Click Finish to close the wizard.
Connect Configuration
- Locate and click Q-SYS Connect icon in the system tray.

- In the Name field type: QSYSConnectZR
- RMS uses this name to discover and bind to the correct Q‑SYS Connect instance.

- In the Network Interface, select the address in the 192.168.2.x range.
- Click the (X) to close Q-SYS Connect and reboot the ZR compute.
Zoom Configuration
After completing the Q-SYS Connect installation and post-installation steps, configure the Zoom Admin portal to enable the Virtual Display feature.
- In RoomSuite, go to the Devices tab.

- The Conference Compatibility Mode should be set to Zoom Rooms

- Click the Link Room Controls link.
- In the prompt, click Generate and Copy URL Path + Token.
- Paste the code into Notepad. You'll need this in the next steps.

- Sign in to the Zoom Admin portal.
- Navigate to Room Management → Zoom Rooms.
- Select the applicable room.
- Go to Setup.
- Go to Devices.
- Ensure Q-SYS Control is enabled.

- Click Configure App.
- In the prompt, select Authorization Bearer Token.

- Fill out the following fields:
- Auth Token - using the
e0853636-0355-4884-893b-75ea76dld4cb?setPage=SecondPageportion of code from the Notepad file. - URL - first adding the IP of the RoomSuite system followed by the
/api-uci/v0/ucis/portion of code from the Notepad file.
- Auth Token - using the
- Add any applicable IPs and Domains for the system.
- Check Allow Unverified Connections for any added domains.
- Click Save.
- Go back to Zoom Rooms Setup tab.
- Enable "Use Windows-attached Zoom Rooms Controller with specific Windows Monitor hardware IDs."
- In the hardware ID field, enter: QSC:QSC4456

- Click Save.
Q-SYS Connect's Virtual Display feature uses QSC:QSC4456 as the hardware ID. Once this setting is applied, the Zoom Room will map the Zoom Room Controller UI to the Virtual Display output.
