Learn how to easily export configurations from MP Install software with ease.

Procedure


This article explains how to export a configuration for the purpose of archiving or sharing with other users for loading on similar systems in other installations or locations. It is possible to export the configuration either while working on the MP-M or while working offline. The configuration consists of a “Program MP Install” file and a “TMCFGHDR” file.  Both files will be saved simultaneously in the same directory.

Exporting configuration to a USB drive from the MP-M

  1. Locate a USB thumb drive that is 4 GB or greater and is formatted for FAT32.
  2. Insert the drive in to either USB location on the MP-M.
  3. Establish a good network connection to the MP-M. 
  4. Launch MP Install and connect to the mixer.
  5. With MP Install, navigate to MENU > CONFIGURATIONS.
  6. Save the configuration from the MP-M to the MP-M Internal Storage location.
  7. Copy the configuration from the MP-M Internal Storage location to the USB drive.

Note

The configuration can be moved from this location to any other storage device for archive purposes or shared use.

 
 
 

Exporting configuration to a PC from the MP-M

  1. Establish a good network connection to the MP-M. 
  2. Launch MP Install and connect to the mixer
  3. With MP Install, navigate to MENU > CONFIGURATIONS.
  4. Save last configuration on the MP-M to be exported to the MP-M Internal Storage location.
  5. Copy the configuration from the MP-M Internal Storage location to the App Storage.

Note

The default App Storage location is C:/Users/<user name>/Document/QSC.  The configuration can be moved from this location to any other storage device for archive purposes or shared use.

 
 
 

Exporting configuration to a PC when working offline

  1. Assuming the configuration has been built and is ready to save, navigate to MENU > CONFIGURATIONS.
  2. Save the configuration to the MP Install App Storage.

Note

The default App Storage location is C:/Users/<user name>/Document/QSC.  The configuration can be moved from this location to any other storage device for archive purposes or shared use.
