How To | Determine the GPIO connections for the Q-SYS Core 110f/c and I/O-8-Flex
Learn how to identify the correct GPIO connections for the Q-SYS Core 110f/c and I/O-8-Flex.
Procedure
The GPIO on the rear of the Core 110f/c and the IO8-Flex is a row of eight screws on a detachable terminal block. The 110f is shown below:
There are ten screws per block, which represent GPIO Inputs or Outputs, depending on the block being used.
Note
The FIRST (left-most) screw of each block is a 12vdc terminal, and the LAST (right-most) screw of each block is the Ground terminal on each block.
A common mistake is to inadvertently wire the "first" trigger connection to the first screw, thinking it's GPIO-1. This can be very troublesome, especially if their GPIO input signal is actually a contact closure, and is inadvertently shorting the 12vdc screw to the ground screw of the block.
