Troubleshooting | MTR 2nd page UCI showing a black screen
This article will provide workarounds to restore functionality to the 2nd screen of the MTR UCI.

Problem
When switching to the QSYS “Room Controls” second page UCI on Microsoft Teams Rooms (in or out of a call) results in a black screen. Q-SYS MTR component shows connected within Q-SYS Designer.
Currently known affected hardware
- Intel NUC 11th gen MTR systems running Windows 11 with Logitech Tap
- Other MTR compute devices may also be affected
Solution | Workaround
Update the Q-SYS MTR application to 9.13 or later.
- Download Designer 9.13 or later
- Retrieve the MTR application from the .Zip file and place it on a thumb drive
- Use the thumb drive to install the updated MTR app onto the MTR device (instructions for that are listed in the help at https://q-syshelp.qsc.com/#Schematic_Library/spe_uci.htm?Highlight=%22Install%20Q-SYS%20Control%20for%20MTR%20on%20the%20Microsoft%20Teams%20Room%20compute%22)
Note
Only the MTR app on the MTR device needs to be updated to 9.13 or later. The Core itself does not need to be updated to 9.13. It can continue to run older versions of Designer and will work with.
