Advice
When testing Windows Audio devices playback in the Sound Control Panel, Windows will play a descending tone for all odd numbered channels and an ascending tone for even numbered channels.
- A stereo device will play both of these tones.
- Mono devices such as the Echo Cancelling Speakerphone will only play the descending tones.
This can be confirmed by the following:
- Open the device window by double clicking it in the Windows Sound Control Panel
- Navigate to the Advanced tab and checking the default format drop down list.
If it is set to 1 Channel, this is correct the correct behavior for the bridging device.
