Troubleshooting | Dante device using unicast when a multicast stream is available
Problem
Dante device (such as unDNEMO) using unicast when a multicast stream is available.
Cause
Some devices, such as Biamp Tesira, default to using a 32-bit PCM stream. Any multicast stream from the Tesira therefore uses 32-bit PCM. Devices configured to use 24-bit PCM are unable to use this stream and instead create a unicast stream of 24-bit PCM.
Solution
Check that the "Encoding" setting on the transmit and receive device in Dante Controller are the same.
