| Software | M4XXX Firmware versions |
Problem | Symptoms
After updating to certain firmware or restoring configuration (meaning uploading old or importing configuration files onto the switch) on NS Series Gen 2 Network Switches, users may be unable to access the main UI login while AV functions as expected. The AV UI (HTTP) still works, but the Main UI (HTTPS/port 49151) may fail to connect or show certificate/secure connection errors.
Causes | Verification
This behavior is due to how firmware handles the transition from HTTP to HTTPS and secure service initialization.
Solution | Workaround
To correct this:
- Login to the AV UI page
- Select Diagnostics in the left pane
- Then select terminal.
- This will open another page in your web browser.
- On the terminal, the user will enter the username and password then execute the following command:

Note
If the terminal page does not open from the diagnostics page, the user can connect to the switch using a console cable and run the command mentioned above.
- Make sure you do a copy run star config to save the configuration and make the change permanent.
- Re-enter the IP address in the browser, and this time they will be able to access the main user interface.
