How To | Removing DDM Credentials/Configuration from a Q-SYS design

Learn how to effectively remove Dante Domain Manager (DDM) credentials and configuration from your Q-SYS design in a few simple steps.

Procedure


Use the following steps for removing DDM Credentials/Configurations from a Q-SYS Design:

  1. Get a copy of the Q-SYS design file.
  2. Uploaded their design to a core.
  3. Opened Dante Controller to verify software Dante was not showing up in Dante Controller or DDM.
  4. Disconnected the core from the design.
  5. Run the design in emulation mode.
  6. Open the Windows Explorer folder.
  7. Navigated to C:\Users\qsc\AppData\Local\Temp\QSys Temp Files
  8. Opened the most recent hash folder (example: C:\Users\john.phim\AppData\Local\Temp\QSys Temp Files\638410852655391476).
  9. Opened the "settings folder.
  10. Deleted the ddm.conf, device_data, UUID, and ptp.conf files.
  11. Saved the design while still in emulation mode.
  12. Disconnected the emulation.
  13. Save to core and run.
  14. Open Dante Controller to verify that the software Dante components are showing up now.
