Updated at June 8th, 2023

Procedure

There are circumstances where you might want to import a saved or archived configuration and load that configuration onto a new or existing MP-M40 or MP-M80 mixer. You can do this from the MP Install App Storage or a USB drive.

From the MP Install App Storage

  1. Start with MP Install closed.
  2. Locate the configuration that is to be imported.
  3. Place the configuration in the directory location for App Storage. The default location is "C:\Users\<user name>\Document\QSC\MP-M" but can be changed within MP Install.

    Note

The configuration consists of a “Program MP Install” file and a “TMCFGHDR” file.  The “Program MP Install” file is all that is needed.

  4. Launch MP Install.
  5. Establish a network connection to the MP-M with a PC.
  6. With MP Install open, navigate to MENU > CONFIGURATIONS.
  7. Select the configuration listed in App Storage.
  8. Copy the configuration from App Storage to the MP-M Internal Storage.
  9. Once copied, select the configuration and click Recall.

If no configuration is listed, verify that the configuration is located in the directory shown in MP Install for the App Storage.

From a USB drive

  1. Locate the configuration file to be imported. Only the “Program MP Install” file is needed.
  2. Copy the configuration file to the root directory of a USB thumb drive that is 4 GB or greater and formatted for FAT32.
  3. Establish a network connection to the MP-M with either a PC or tablet running MP Install.
  4. Insert the USB drive containing the configuration file into either USB port on the MP-M.
  5. Launch MP Install.
  6. With MP Install, navigate to MENU > CONFIGURATIONS.
  7. Select the configuration listed under USB External.
  8. Copy the configuration from the USB drive to the Internal Storage.
  9. Once copied, select the configuration and click Recall.

If no configuration is listed, verify the drive is formatted for FAT32 and that the correct configuration file is placed at the root directory of the drive.
