FAQ | Do Crestron's Q-SYS modules work with Redundant Cores?

Updated at February 1st, 2023

Answer

If Crestron's V4.x or V5.x Q-SYS modules (available on the Crestron Application Market) are utilized in your system, they are capable to handle Redundant Core usage. Crestron provides a sample design and documentation for using this functionality.

Essential to this is programming is the ability to target the Redundant Core IP address instead of the Primary. Please see Crestron's implementation in their sample design for further assistance on this.
