It is possible to page from a Softphone or POTS telephone connection. The ability to do so depends on the specific application and the route chosen for implementation.

It is possible to leverage the DTMF Rx Control Pin of the Softphone/POTS Status/Control component. That, combined with the Virtual Page Station component and PA Router component, can be used along with additional logic and scripting to develop a custom solution.

However, it is also possible to use the "Telephone Paging through PA Router" plugin, which is available from the AET Support team. It was developed as an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) solution. A set of audio files are provided along with the plugin. These audio files can be altered as needed, such as for other languages or use-cases.
