Learn how to confirm that the IRC-28C is receiving closed captions.
Procedure
There are two ways you can verify the IRC-28C is receiving closed captions. Either through the Qeb UI or by watching the Log Stream.
Qeb UI
- Get to the Qeb UI of the device by entering it's IP address into your web browser.
- If you do not know the IP address, download the Ethernet Discoverer Utility.
- Click the Streaming Log link in the WEB UI to observe realtime caption data coming in from the server.
Log Stream
You can watch the log stream from the IRC-28C by telnetting to the IRC-28C on port 10001.
Example
Assume the following is accurate in our example:
- The IRC-28C IP address is 192.168.1.157
- The telnet port is 10001
Using a DOS prompt, we would type in this command: telnet 192.168.1.157 10001
which can then be used to debug an installation.
