Calculating BTU output is important for understanding the HVAC capacity required to offset the heat output of your devices.
- Multiply the current draw in Amps by the operating Volts to calculate the Watts of power.
- Multiply the Watts by 3.412 to calculate an approximation of BTU/hr generated.
Note:
Devices using external power supplies must be calculated separately to estimate their total thermal output.
