Practically, No.

The only way to split an AES3 signal properly is with a transformer that will maintain the proper load impedance. A two-way split will reduce the signal level by 3 dB or more, however, even with an appropriate transformer, so the original AES3 signal must be robust enough to keep the received signals strong enough. A simple wire split—i.e., a Y-cable—will cause impedance mismatches that may hinder performance unless the cables are extremely short.

Improper impedance or low signal strength could cause reflections or jitter that cause artifacts or glitches in the audio.

The foolproof way to put AES3 content into redundant core processors is to have two AES3 sources carrying the same content. Route one to the primary core processor and the other to the secondary.
