Yes, it is possible to use these amplifiers without a Q-SYS Core processor. However, a Core is required to set up the amplifier beforehand to use Standalone Mode. (Note that this does not apply to Qn amplifiers, as they are for network audio only.)
DPA-Q and CX-Q amplifiers retain the configuration, speaker setup, and voicing pushed to them in the last design. They will, however, indicate a warning on the display as Standalone Mode is intended as a failover mechanism in the event of Core failure.
