How To | Setting up AEC with a voice lift system (non-ceiling microphone)

Learn how to effectively set up AEC with a voice lift system.

Procedure


Use the following steps for setting up AEC with a voice lift system (with non-ceiling microphones):

  1. Wire the design in a manner similar to the example below (this may differ based on the system specifications)

  1. In AEC Properties, set the Shared Reference to No.

  1. Set Reinforcement Outputs to Yes.
  2. Ensure that each microphone being reinforced is referencing every other microphone except the one in use (usually good to start at about -18db).

  1. Reference the far end and program audio (starting at 0db and adjusting as needed to remove echo).
  2. Route the reinforcement outputs to the speakers in room being used for reinforcement and the conference outputs are only routed to the far end.
