Procedure

Use the following steps for installing custom/third party plugins to Q-SYS Designer:

Note

These procedures apply to installation of plugins that are developed outside of Asset Manager.

Third party and custom plugins may cause unexpected behavior with Q-SYS Designer Software and cannot be supported by Q-SYS Technical Support. For assistance, it will be necessary to contact the plugin author/manufacturer.

 

Using Installer

  1. Download the desired plugin file.
    1. File should have one of the following extensions
      1. .qplug
      2. .qplugx
      3. .qplugx2
  2. Double-click the file.
    1. You should receive a dialogue asking if you'd like to install the plugin.
  3. Click Yes to install.

After installation the plugin will be available for use under Schematic Elements > Plugins in Q-SYS Designer.

 
 

Manual Installation

  1. Download the desired plugin file.
    1. File should have one of the following extensions
      1. .qplug
      2. .qplugx
      3. .qplugx2
  2. Copy the file to the following directory on your PC:
    1. Documents\QSC\Q-Sys Designer\Plugins
  3. Open (or close and reopen) Q-SYS Designer Software

The plugin will now be available for use under Schematic Elements > Plugins in Q-SYS Designer.
