When testing Windows Audio devices playback in the Sound Control Panel, Windows will play a descending tone for all odd numbered channels and an ascending tone for even numbered channels.

• A stereo device will play both of these tones.
• Mono devices such as the Echo Cancelling Speakerphone will only play the descending tones.

This can be confirmed by the following:

1. Open the device window by double clicking it in the Windows Sound Control Panel
2. Navigate to the Advanced tab and checking the default format drop down list.

If it is set to 1 Channel, this is correct the correct behavior for the bridging device.
