How To | Configuring a Bluetooth friendly name

Learn how to change the name of your Bluetooth device so it is easier to find when connecting with other Bluetooth devices.

Procedure


Setting the Bluetooth friendly name can be done for any Attero Tech device that has a Bluetooth interface. It is done through unIFY but how depends on the type of device.

Note

The Bluetooth friendly name cannot contain spaces.

 

unBT2A

  1. Attach the BT2A to a PC using the USB interface 
  2. Open Unify
  3. Open the "unBT2A Configuration" option under the "Tools" menu
  4. Select the Com port for the BT2A and click connect
  5. Edit the friendly name field and click "Apply"
 
 

Axiom BT1

  1. Attach the BT1 to a PC using the USB interface 
  2. Open Unify
  3. Open the "BT1 Config" option under the "Tools" menu
  4. Select the Com port for the BT1 and click connect
  5. Edit the friendly name field and click "Apply"
 
 

Axon DBU

  1. Connect device to network
  2. Open unify and find device under the "Dante" tab
  3. Double click to open the devices configuration
  4. Go to the Audio Configuration tab
  5. Edit the friendly name field and click "Apply"

  1. Connect device to network
  2. Open unify and find device under the "Dante" tab
  3. Double click to open the devices configuration
  4. Edit the friendly name field and click "Apply"

  1. Connect device to network
  2. Open unify and find device under the "AES67" tab
  3. Double click to open the devices configuration
  4. Edit the friendly name field and click "Apply
