How To | Clearing the cache for help.qsys.com in Chrome
This article will discuss how to clear the local cache on a particular site only in Google's Chrome web browser.
Procedure
When an update to the help file is released at help.qsys.com the current version of the site is sometimes not displayed on your browser. This is likely because the web browser is caching the information locally and not fetching new information. An example of this would be when we release a new version i.e. 9.8.1 and when you got to help.qsys.com it still shows 9.8.0 as the current version.
To clear the cache for a specific site in Chrome do the following:
- Navigate to the site you want to clear the cache from. i.e. help.qsys.com.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+I to open the developer tools pane.
- Right click the refresh button for the page.
- Click on “Empty Cache and Hard Reload”
This will empty the cache for that page on your machine and fetch the web page as if you've never visited before.
