Factory Reset | CXD-Q Series Amplifiers

Discover how to perform a factory reset on your CXD-Q series amplifiers to troubleshoot any issues and restore them to their original settings.

Procedure


Use the following steps to reset a CXD-Q Series amplifier to its factory default settings:

CXD4.2Q / CXD4.3Q / CXD4.5Q

  1. Locate the pinhole button.
  1. Use a paperclip to press and hold the button for approximately 5 seconds
  2. Press the ‘ID’ button to confirm the reset.
  3. Wait for the amp to complete the reset process and reboot (this will take a few minutes)
 
 

CXD8.4Q / CXD8.8Q / CXD8.4Qn / CXD8.8Qn

  1. Locate the pinhole button:
  1. Use a paperclip to press and hold the button for approximately 3 seconds
  2. Press the ‘ID’ button to confirm the reset
  3. Wait for the amp to complete the reset process and reboot (this will take a few minutes)
 
 

Note

The factory reset process will reset all of the network settings to default (DHCP) and will reset the host name to the default name. Additionally, the process will delete the access control settings and the system information logs.
